How to place a floating search button that will be vertically fixed on the side of your Joomla site and will return search results from site content?

Your answer is our Fixed Vertical Search Button, a system plugin for Joomla that works in all Joomla versions. Once this plugin is installed and enabled, it will show a small search magnifier icon on the edge of your screen. On click this smoothly opens and allows to provide search text and on click or enter shows the result on site. You can decide to hide on home page or apply filter with item IDs.

It uses Joomla’s native search function to make query and to display search results. The plugin offer tons of customization for styling so that the search icon can blend seamlessly in any template style and color.

  • Choose the background color for the submit button from visual color picker or with Hex color code
  • Define the color of box border from visual color picker or with Hex color code
  • Set a limit for Max. character limit for a search word

Usage

  1. Things are very straight forward: pay and receive download link
  2. Install the plugin as extension
  3. Activate the plugin
  4. Go to the admin settings and change settings as you desire
