No one can predict how the future will shake out in terms of upcoming tech trends, but we can make some educated guesses. From reading some blog; expert comments I think these will dominate the future tech world. As the underpinnings of information technology shift, it’s never been more important to look ahead and anticipate changes. And a weird but most important thing is going to happen; People will actually read online Terms & Conditions.
Many technologies helped shape 2017 and we expect technology to play an even bigger role in 2018. Let’s take a look at what the technological terrain will look like in 2018.

Internet of Things(IoT) will took strom in Corporate World

In 2018 Mostly all enterprise & startups will connect their business with IoT. Internet of Things isn’t limited to just one field; the whole idea behind it is that it is a seamless integration of technology in daily life. But we will definitely continue seeing more potential for Internet of Things as long as we are still in the digital age.Even many people will connect their physical devices, vehicles, home appliances and other items with the network of IoT.

What is Internet of Things(IoT)?

The Internet of things is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity which enables these objects to connect and exchange data.

Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning move beyond the hype

The uptake of AI will see a rapid increase in 2018. AI will take on a wide range of industries, including health, energy, transport, and telecommunication. Sheryl Sandberg-Chief Operating Officer of Facebook says,”Artificial Internet & especially Deep Learning, the ‘magic’ that is bringing us driverless cars and facial recognition, has been sitting solidly atop the hype curve over the last few years. “We believe 2018 will be the year when deep learning moves beyond the hype and will find new markets outside of the Internet giants.” We will see many things are being automated beyond imagine by using these.

What is AI?

Artificial intelligence is intelligence displayed by machines, in contrast with the natural intelligence displayed by humans and other animals.

What is Deep Learning?

Deep Learning is a sub-field of Machine Learning concerned with understanding the world through large models and huge amounts of data and thus bringing us closer to artificial intelligence. Deep learning is behind revolutionary breakthroughs in automation of a wide range of tasks, including understanding images, text, and speech. Deep Learning uses large artificial neural networks, computing systems inspired by our brains neural networks.

Augmented Reality

VR is getting down & almost at the end. Augmented reality has a more practical usage for everyday users than VR because of the ability to layer information over the real world. Google Glass, Oculus, HoloLens: The Race for Augmented Reality is becoming higher. All the big companies are going long on augmented reality. In 2018, we will see much more apps that are compatible with AR.

We may take Microsoft’s Mix Reality in this trend list.

Blockchain

This year we may see blockchain technology struggle to break out of its cryptocurrency cradle. The blockchain is best known as the technology behind Bitcoin which is not controlling central governing body to guarantee transactions. Many new businesses are turning to blockchain for transparency and accountability, but more traditional industries are expected to follow suit.

What is Blockchain?

A blockchain is a continuously growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked and secured using cryptography. Each block typically contains a hash pointer as a link to a previous block, a timestamp and transaction data. By design, blockchains are inherently resistant to modification of the data. Blockchain technology was first implemented as a core component of Bitcoin, where it serves as the public ledger for all transactions. The invention of the blockchain for Bitcoin made it the first digital currency, and the Bitcoin design has been the inspiration for other applications of blockchain technology. Remember-Blockchain is not Bitcoin.

Facebook COO Sandberg says,”Industry agreement must be reached about all of this. But the point of blockchain is that it avoids the need for a central governing body to oversee its transactions. This is known as the ‘blockchain governance paradox’. The blockchain industry will need to resolve these challenges to fully deliver on its promise. 2018 will see this debate heat up – and hopefully give us solutions”

Let’s see can it break out of its own cryptocurrency cradle?

Public Cloud & Edge Computing

As companies are moving to cloud; general people are being depended on the cloud. And many peoples are moving on the cloud. Following 2017 Cloud computing will still be heavily in use in 2018.

Edge computing will become also popular because of IoT & improved user experience.

What is Edge Computing?

Edge computing pushes applications, data and computing power (services) away from centralized points to the logical extremes of a network. Edge computing replicates fragments of information across distributed networks of web servers, which may spread over a vast area.

Data & Security

As peoples & companies are getting connected with internet, the amount of data is increasing beyond imagination. As long as business is conducted with connected technology, this field will always be in demand. And for that, cybersecurity field is much important and going to get much importance.

Electric Car

“The number of electric cars will increase from 1.2 million in 2015 to 100 million in 2035.” — Bloomberg. As petrol cars and diesel cars are getting banes from several countries; companies are moving to make electric cars. Britain and France are reportedly banning sales of new petrol and diesel cars by 2040, with reports of China following suit, and this will decrease or even eliminate long-term investment in petrol cars.

Voice Driven Application and Digital Assistant

In 2018 we may see much more voice-driven application. And Digital Assistant like Microsoft Cortana, Amazon Echo, Google Home, Apple Siri are competing on the market. So, we may expect something more as the uses of voice assistant has been increasing. We may see more uses of bot also.

3D Printers

It has been a slow couple of years for 3D printing technology, but it looks to make a comeback in 2018.

Digital wallet

In 2018 a growing number of our devices become payment devices – car keys, vending machines, smartphones, connected cars, sports watches etc. But mostly for any time accessible facility we may see this system brighter.

Flexible Screens

We may see flexible screens on smartphone this year.

Space X

SpaceX may perfect reusable rockets in 2018.

The technological landscape will continue to evolve into one that is even more heavily dominated by technology. And yes, I expect to see innovation in technology.
